Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? We’re here to help – for both you and your pet.

Our products are mainly designed for cats and dogs. Each product page includes recommendations for pet size or weight (for example: small dogs, medium/large dogs, or all cats).

If you’re not sure whether an item is suitable for your pet, feel free to email us at hello@pawmarked.com with your pet’s breed, weight, and neck/chest measurements. We’ll happily recommend the best size or product.

On every product page, you’ll find a Size & Fit section with:

  • Recommended pet weight or size range
  • Exact measurements (for collars, harnesses, feeders, etc.)
  • A simple measuring guide

To get the best fit:

  • Use a soft measuring tape (or a string + ruler).
  • Measure your pet’s neck (for collars/ID tags) or chest girth (for harnesses).
  • Add two fingers of room so the collar or harness is snug but comfortable.

Still unsure? Send us your pet’s measurements and a photo to hello@pawmarked.com, and we’ll double‑check for you.

It depends on the item, but you can usually customize:

  • Your pet’s name
  • Phone number or contact details
  • Special dates (birthday, gotcha day, adoption date, etc.)
  • Short phrases (e.g. “If lost, please call…”, “Adopted & loved”)
  • Pet portrait or line illustration (for selected products)

Please check each product page for the exact customization options available. You’ll see all the fields you can fill in before adding the item to your cart.

If you notice a mistake, contact us as soon as possible at hello@pawmarked.com with your order number and the correct information.

We usually start working on customized items quickly, so:

  • If your order has not entered production yet, we’ll update the engraving details for you.
  • If the tag is already engraved, we may not be able to change it – but please still reach out and we’ll do our best to help.

Yes. We only use materials that are safe for everyday pet use, such as:

  • Stainless steel, brass or coated alloy for ID tags
  • Food‑safe materials for bowls and feeders
  • Pet‑friendly metals and finishes designed to be worn on the collar, not chewed like a toy

If your pet has known allergies or sensitive skin, feel free to contact us before ordering and we’ll help you choose the most suitable option.

We process orders within 1–3 business days.

Once shipped, standard delivery times are:

  • USA & Canada: 7–12 business days
  • Europe & UK: 7–10 business days
  • Australia & New Zealand: 8–14 business days

You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.

Please note: Shipping times are estimates and may be affected by customs, holidays, or local delivery delays.

Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide.

Any import duties, taxes or customs fees are determined by your local customs office and are the responsibility of the customer. If you’re unsure about possible fees in your country, we recommend checking with your local customs authority before ordering.

We offer a 30‑day return policy for non‑customized items. If you receive a defective or incorrect item, please contact us immediately and we will make it right.

Because each personalized product is made specially for your pet, personalized items (with names, dates, custom text, etc.) cannot be returned or exchanged unless:

  • They arrived damaged, or
  • There was an error on our part (wrong name, color, size, etc.).

If there’s any problem with your order, please email hello@pawmarked.com with photos and your order number so we can help quickly.

If your tracking number hasn’t updated for several days or your package seems lost:

  1. First, check with your local post office or delivery company.
  2. Then email us at hello@pawmarked.com with your tracking number and order details.

We’ll contact the carrier, investigate the issue, and work with you on the best solution (replacement or other options depending on the situation).

To keep your pet’s items looking their best:

  • Wipe ID tags regularly with a soft cloth; avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Remove collars or tags before swimming in the sea or using strong shampoos when possible.
  • For feeders and bowls, follow the care instructions on each product page (some are dishwasher‑safe, some are hand‑wash only).

If you’re unsure how to clean a specific item, just ask us and we’ll guide you.

Yes! Many of our products make wonderful gifts for new puppies, birthdays, gotcha days and holidays.

You can:

  • Ship directly to the recipient by entering their address at checkout.
  • Add a gift note in the order notes (if available) or by emailing us your message and order number right after you place your order.

We won’t include pricing information in gift shipments.
